Though the name may be a little silly, Kitty Poo Club is one you won’t forget. This company offers a unique service to cat owners by delivering disposable litter boxes on a monthly basis.
Each month you’ll receive a recyclable cardboard litter box and a bag of litter designed to last 30 days. At the end of each month when your shipment arrives, you simply recycle the old box and start fresh.
Kitty Poo Club designs their litter boxes using recyclable material and each month you’ll enjoy a cute new design. These boxes are made with a waterproof coating to protect against leaks and they are incredibly simple to use.
Just remove the lid, pop open the box, place the lid on the bottom of the box, and pour in your litter. You can even purchase a cardboard dome to go on top.

What Kinds of Litter Does the Brand Offer?
Kitty Poo Club currently offers four types of cat litter, though only three were available for testing at the time. There are two silica cat litter formulas (one fine-grain and one large-grain) and a traditional clay cat litter.
You can purchase a complete litter box kit with a disposable litter box and a bag of litter or purchase the box and the litter separately.

It is a low-dust formula and completely free from scents, dyes, and chemicals.
What makes this litter unique is the fact that it absorbs liquid and dries quickly, extending the life of the litter. It traps and eliminates odor as well, keeping the box smelling fresh and clean for up to 30 days.
It is a non-clumping formula, however, so you’ll need to scoop solids and stir the litter daily to redistribute the used litter to keep things fresh.
In testing Kitty Poo Club Fine-Grain Silica Cat Litter, we found it to be very similar to other fine-grained silica litter we’ve tested. We loved that it was lightweight and dust-free, though it did tend to track and spread a bit more than other litters.
Fortunately, the Kitty Poo Club box is designed to help limit this.
Our test cats tend to prefer silica litter for urine, so we didn’t end up having to do much scooping, so it wasn’t a fact that it isn’t non-clumping formula.

Like most silica cat litter, this is a non-clumping formula designed to absorb liquid and dry over time.
You simply need to scoop the solids and stir the litter daily to keep it fresh. When used properly, this litter controls odor well and a single bag lasts up to 30 days in a single-cat household.
In testing this silica litter, we found it to perform similarly to the previous formula. It did a decent job controlling urine odor, though it was a little harder to scoop solid waste simply because the grains were larger.
We could also see how some cats would find the larger grains uncomfortable on their feet.

With its sand-like texture, this litter is soft on paws. It is charcoal-activated for long-lasting odor control and doesn’t contain any chemicals, scents, or dyes.
Though this formula is marketed as low-dust, we found it to be a little dusty when first pouring it into the box. The dust settled quickly, however, so it wasn’t an issue.
This litter didn’t seem to track any more than traditional clay litter and the Kitty Poo Club box helped contain it pretty well.
The one issue we had with this litter is that large volumes of liquid made it a little sticky. This clay litter stuck to the box a little more than the silica formulas, though we didn’t have any trouble with liquid leaking through the waterproof lining on the box.

Because Kitty Poo Club is only available for purchase through the company website, that’s where you’ll find the most customer reviews.
It’s unclear whether Kitty Poo Club posts both positive and negative reviews when they come in, but we could only find 5-star reviews for their products on their site.
In reading comments from other independent testers, we found many felt the same way we did. Kitty Poo Club is extremely convenient, and they love the idea of a disposable litter box. That being said, there’s nothing particularly special about their litter that makes it better than similar brands.
In July 2020, Kitty Poo Club is releasing an organic soy cat litter which may change things. The combination of a disposable box and an organic litter option may turn the heads of new customers.

Kitty Poo Club makes it easy to ensure your cat has a fresh, clean litter box each and every month. For just $21.99 you’ll receive a brand-new litter box and a month’s worth of litter for a single cat.
If your cat is fairly tidy and you’re able to reuse the box, you can purchase separate bags of litter to refill it. You can also purchase an empty litter box for $11.99.
If you’re purchasing Kitty Poo Club litter to use in your own litter box, you can purchase single bags for $17.99 or a 4-pack for $64.99. Kitty Poo Club also offers an assortment of litter box accessories including a cardboard dome, a Catch-All litter mat, and a plastic scoop.
Kitty Poo Club also partners with several pet product brands like Blue Buffalo, Fussie Cat, and Weruva to sell cat food and treats on their site which customers can add to their monthly deliveries.

Overall, Is Kitty Poo Club A Good Choice?
We love the idea of a disposable litter box and we had no major issues with the quality of Kitty Poo Club cat litter.
Nobody likes scooping the litter box but the only thing worse is having to scrape and spray it at the end of the month. The convenience of simply emptying the box and recycling it is great.
The thing you need to remember with Kitty Poo Club is their boxes and litters are not specifically designed for multi-cat households. When you sign up, you have the option to indicate you have multiple cats but that simply results in adding extra boxes to your order. If you have two cats, you’ll need to empty or change the box twice as often to control mess and odor.
Overall, we recommend Kitty Poo Club for single cat owners looking for convenience.
The price of Kitty Poo Club is a little higher than you’d pay for similar products if you purchased them yourself, but you’re paying for the convenience of having it delivered to your door and for the litter box being disposable.
Kitty Poo Club may not be the most economical option for multi-cat households.
That being said, if you want to avoid the hassle of scooping and cleaning multiple boxes every two weeks, a disposable litter box like this may well be worth the extra cost.

Who in the world cleans out the litterbox only at the end of the month???? I use clumping litter and scoop it out every day, or at least every other day.

Thanks for your comment! Kitty Poo Club recommends maintaining your litter box as directed for the type of litter you've chosen, so you should still be scooping the box to keep it fresh. The benefit of Kitty Poo Club is that instead of having to completely empty and wash out the box every month, you have a new litter box to start fresh with.
